Message Was going to wait till tomorrow, get some rest, recuperate my sore muscles (damn EGR bolts, THREE HOURS to get them back in!) but could not resist.

Was a bit nervous on starting up the first time but figured, get it over with, either good news or bad news.. Had to find out which it would be. Relaxed for a bit, got a beer then went out and reconnected the battery and the fuel pump switch in the drivers footwell.

Crossed fingers and started it up. Two turns and it came to life and other than the idle being high sounds fine! Knew the idle would be off so tomorrow or Saturday will do the TPS adjustment and IAAV as well.

Only odd thing was when I put it in gear (I did not drive it, just put it in gear ) the engine revved up pretty high and wanted to stay there. I shut it off immediately. Checked under hood and did not detect any fuel leaks. Hoping it is just an indication of the TPS and IAAV needing to be adjusted. Anyone have any guesses or can confirm/deny it is just in need of the TPS and IAAV being adjusted? Or is it something else?

What a feeling of relief and accomplishment. I did it all myself!

Guess the incense and shots of beer along with hopping on one foot while praying to the Z gods that all would work as they should helped!
